Institutions

The "Institutions Axis" of the UMR (UG2) Research Unit draws together a team of seventy researchers. Its work forms part of an applied economics project, which seeks to take a theoretical and empirical approach simultaneously. At the same time, it is overtly "institutionalist", based on the assumption that economic and social phenomena are mulitidimensional, taking into account the institutional (political, legal and social) frameworks in which agents make their choices.

The scientific activities of this field are organised in five major areas, in order to provide the related programmes with autonomy and synergies:

- Labour, employment and social security;

- Decisions and organisation, public economics;

- The diversity and transformation of capitalisms;

- Economics of arts and the media, digital economy and intellectual property;

- Epistemology.

The research Master's degree in "Applied Economics" draws on the work of the researchers and teacher-researchers of this "Institutions Axis".
